The Israeli ultra marathon runner Ariel Rozenfeld won the fifth edition of the Wall Race. It took him 15:20:48 to complete the 161km long course around Western Berlin. Ariel was delighted about the course and the idea of the Wall Race: „A run for freedom as good as it gets. The organisation, the course marking, everything very impressive.“ Ivan Bretan from Sweden came in second place in 15:44 hours, Minoru Onozuka completed the podium in 16:12 hours. The fastest woman was Tia Jones from Australia, who reached the finish line in 17:03 hours. In second place Elena Fabiani, ahead of Sarah Sawyer.

In the relay competition there was a record field, too. Almost 100 teams had registered.  The fastest 2-person relay were the „Running Twins“ in a time of 16:01 hours. In the 4-person relay competition the relays „Finanzer 1“ (12:47) and „1. FC Union Berlin“ were in first place. And the 10plus-team „Laktat3“ set a new relay course record in11:04 hours, the LGM-Fast-Forward relay was only three minutes back.
