At hardly any other place are dimension and moment of wall and barbed wire as impressive this very day as at the Berlin Wall Memorial at Bernauer Strasse. On the area of the memorial the last piece of the Berlin Wall is located, which has preserved its depth effect and gives an impression of the structure of the border fortifications at the end of the 1980s.

The Memorial organization offers again this year a free and exclusive guided tour for all 100Meilen participants on the day prior to the Wall Race (11 August) that will last approximately one hour. Start is at 10:30 am. Everyone interested, please write an email to pr@100Meilen.de by 01 July with a concrete statement about the number of participating persons.
Subsequently to the tour, we will proceed with our small friendship run along parts of the 100Meilen course. At an easy pace our way leads along Bernauer Strasse to the start and finish area in the Jahn-Sportpark, afterwards to the race packet pickup at the Ramada Hotel at Alexanderplatz. In total 5 kilometers, participation is free of charge and no registration is needed. We meet at 12:00 in front of the visitor center of the Berlin Wall Memorial at Bernauer Strasse/corner Gartenstrasse. The S-Bahn station „Nordbahnhof“ is quite close.
