Last year Dr. Ronald Musil, the „father“ of the Wall Race, accepted the responsibility for the organizational team again. Many important decisions have been made since then, the preparation for this year’s edition is running at high speed. Due to health restrictions, Ronald now has to turn down this task, but will stay close to his race in the future. Some personal words:

Dear sports enthusiasts,

last year in August I had the honour to take over the overall coordination for the 100MeilenBerlin – The Wall Race again. The following months with the expansion of the org team, consisting of highly motivated and dedicated runners and volunteers (members of the LG Mauerweg Berlin, as well as external supporters), have been very energy-sapping, but also sustaining. The arrangements for this year’s edition of the Wall Race are quite advanced by now and I am sure the participants will experience a great and emotional event again. I am proud of my 100Meilen org team and thank everyone for the teamwork.

I have accepted the overall coordination with the hope to stabilize my medical condition and be able to actively supoort „my“ race for many more years. Unfortunately, this wish was not fullfilled, so by now I am forced to pass on the responsibility.

My successor will be our club president and new member of the presidium of the Deutsche Ultramarathon Vereinigung (DUV), Olaf Ilk. Of course, I will support him and the org team at any time in word and – as far as possible – also in deed.

I wish the team and all the volunteers of the Wall Race lots of creative power, and all participants a great preparation!

Yours,

Dr. Ronald Musil
