A glance backward: Berlin Wall Race 2016
The Israeli ultra marathon runner Ariel Rozenfeld won the fifth edition of the Wall Race. It took him 15:20:48 to complete the 161km long course around Western Berlin. For the first time the victory in the women’s division went to a runner from abroad. The female winner was Tia Jones from Australia, who reached the finish line in 17:03 hours.
This edition of the Berlin Wall Race commemorated Karl-Heinz Kube, who was shot in an escape attempt in 1966.
